Build a Dream Playhouses Review and Giveaway

Little Man as a Little Toddler
Look at Little Man

You know, from the time Little Man was born we spent A LOT of money on toys. We purchased toys that sang, had bright lights, and danced around. When receiving these toys he would play with them for just a little bit of time, lose interest, and move on to the next toy. Then one day we purchased a new appliance and it came in a big box. I was shocked that Little Man, I think he was about age two or so, played with the box FOREVER! The box didn’t have bright colors, it didn’t sing songs, or even dance, but he LOVED it. He would climb in it, out of it, put it on top of him, pretty much anything he could think of.

This is the premise of Build a Dream Playhouses. They have taken the simple box idea and made it into the perfect outlet for children’s imagination to go wild.

Now when choosing the item to review I had my mind on choosing the Pop n’ Play Castle, but Little Man was head strong that he wanted the Dream Machine. The day the Dream Machine arrived was a very LOUD day in our home with Little Man and Little Miss asking about it all day. When Hubby finally arrived home, we put him to work assembling it together. It only took him about fifteen minutes and it was ready to go. The outlines on the vehicle were so cute and very sharp to make it easy for the kids to decorate it. I asked Little Man if he wanted to paint it but he was set on coloring it in with his Crayons, so he and Little Miss went to work. A bit later they were a bit bored with coloring and too excited to play WITH the Dream Machine, so the Crayons went away and they went to “the store, school, and work…” pretty much anyplace they could think of. They ran around the house with their Dream Machine calling out, “Bye, Mamma, love you.” It was so cute.

Every day after that, they found a new place they wanted to drive, each taking turns being the passenger and sticking their head out the sunroof. They never got back to decorating the Dream Machine and when I asked Little Man if he wanted to finish, he said, “um, no, I like it this way,” ha, ha, ha…

Now, looking back, as much as my kids LOVE their Dream Machine and still play with it often, I wish we had chosen the Pop n’ Play Castle…for only ONE reason, the Pop n’ Play Castle stores flat – you see the Dream Machine is a pretty big vehicle and does not fold up, so finding a place to store it is not an easy task and between you and I,  I think my Mother-in-law got a little irritated that it sat in our living room for so long before we moved it to the garage… but, all in all, I enjoy watching as my kids have fun imagining all the places they can visit in their Dream Machine!

Oh and I forgot to tell you, you know how much I LOVE companies that give back? Well, this is one of them. Build a Dream Playhouses donates many of their products to children’s hospitals, various charities, and schools much in need of products that stimulate creativity and imagination. Awesome!!! A company that gives to CHILDREN in need – LOVE IT!
So, don’t let your child get bored this summer, help him/her imagination grow with a Build a Dream Playhouses TODAY!
