Blog Readers -
Alexa Rank is kind of the same thing as Google Page Rank (which I personally think will be obsolete in time) except “Alexa computes traffic rankings by analyzing the Web usage of millions of Alexa Toolbar users and date obtained from other, diverse traffic data sources.” What this means is that when someone with an Alexa Toolbar visits that page, it helps lower that page’s Alexa Rating.
NOW, you may be saying, what does this mean to me… well, it is simple; the bigger the Google Rankings and the smaller the Alexa Ratings, the more reviews/giveaways your favorite blogs qualify for from bigger companies.
What YOU can do to help you favorite blog, such as The Adventures of 8, lower their Alexa Ratings – This is super simple, you can download the Alexa Toolbar – which is a search bar that goes on the top of your page and gives you the Alexa Rating of each site you are on.

Another thing you can do to assist a page with their Alexa Ratings is by writing a review of their page. Just go to www.Alexa.com and type in the webpage or blog’s link in the search area, then click write a review! Or some pages (like mine) have a button on their page that says, “Do you like my website, please write a review on Alexa!“
Every step you take to help your favorite blog, will help you since that blog will be approved for bigger and better items with bigger and better companies:)
