When did short shorts become bikini shorts?

Here is my rant of the day –

Okay, so yes, I am kind of a child of the 80’s and I can tell you that I wore my fair share of short shorts, but I am amazed at the clothing, especially the shorts that today’s women (ESPECIALLY teenagers) are wearing! Short shorts should be called bikini shorts, you know… If I can see your cheeks under your shorts, honey, they are too short!

I know there are many beautiful women with beautiful bodies, but lately I am appalled… and in a way scared. I see what my fourteen-year-old stepdaughter gets away with wearing and the shows she watches and I am unsure of how I am going to handle Little Miss and Baby Miss if they think they will be able to get away with it. Come on people, cover up just a bit, please, I am begging you. There are very vulnerable teenagers that want to be just like you!

I just seen this the other day at Downtown Disney. This lady with 3 kids and her husband was walking around with short shorts you could see her butt cheeks and to top it off she was wearing heels. Yes, she had the body to wear them but come on now it's a family place. I just stared and shook my head as well as other people there and was shocked that she could be wearing something a little too revealing out in a public family place. I don't need to see her goods all hanging out save them for your husband or boyfriend or for the beach

I've seen teenagers and moms in the same outfits…come to think of it, I have seen 6 year olds in the same outfits. *SAD*

I am with you Lisa – my pet hat at the moment – if your pockets are hanging out = too short!

I hate it when people wear cutoffs so short that the pockets hang out the bottom, that is just to short!

  5. On the one hand I believe in freedom and letting people decide for themselves what to wear or not wear, but my goodness !! It feels so invasive to me when people (both men and women) feel compelled to share their naughty bits with me. The question is why? We all have boobs and/or chests, and butt cheeks, etc. so why the need to expose more and more? To be honest, I hate it when I see a guy walking down the street or at a park with his shirt off. There are some things that should be saved for the bedroom. It's a crazy world with buns hanging out and butt cracks exposed–makes you think, "What's next?"
