A couple of years ago I signed up to receive a personalized CD from Santa and it was so super-cheesy. It was Santa’s voice with a voice over of my kids names. To say I was disappointed, was an understatement. So, when I met this new company offering personalized DVD’s for Christmas, called “Your Santa Story”, I did not put too much thought into it, until they contacted me a few months later asking if I would like to review one of their DVD’s.
I filled out the form to place my order and was immediately impressed with all the detailed information they asked for. Not just my child’s name, but also our pet’s name, and child’s accomplishments. Plus I was able to include all three kids and their information, which was really cool. Between you and me, I was curious how they would ‘voice-over’ all the information.
When our custom “Your Santa Story” DVD arrived I felt the flutter of excitement in the pit of my stomach as I inserted the DVD into my laptop. WOW, folks; I was amazed. First of all, this is no mom & pop DVD made with a handheld camcorder; this is a beautiful DVD showcasing Santa’s stables and even some of the reindeer’s. As I watched in awe, I felt a smile creep across my face as the most energetic Santa I had ever met came on the screen. I just LOVED him immediately.
This is where I was REALLY amazed; he actually talked to my kids, with a “Hello Torres Family” greeting, then went onto calling each of my kids by their name and telling them how happy he was with their individual accomplishments. There was no voice-over or dubbing; this was a FULLY customized DVD, made just for my kids. I had tears in my eyes, thinking of how touching the whole thing was and how excited I was to show it to the kids on Christmas morning.
Here is a sample of the “Your Santa Story” DVD -
All in all, I know this will be a Christmas morning tradition from here on out.

Watching the Christmas story move while we open presents and then eat a big breakfast.
hot fire, and cinnamon roles, the children pass out the gifts, we all take turns opening gifts
I raised my son knowing that Santa was not real and just for fun, he’s 24 now and has Down Syndrome. The older he gets the more he seems to believe in Santa so I embrace it now and bring out his presents while he sleeps Christmas Eve and he always gets out cookies and milk for Santa and I make it look like Santa came and ate it. He loves it!
I love to wait until my son wakes up and watch him open his presents from Santa.
We’re doing a WDW vacation this year, hope we can make it our new tradition!
One of my fav traditions on Christmas morning is to have a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows while watching my son open his presents. He just turned 4 in september, so I have to take it all in, while it lasts.
My favorite Christmas morning tradition is hearing the sleigh bells ring before we run downstairs to open gifts!
we used to do the hollday when we were younger and then we have to wait till the mom and dad would get up
1st opening the stocking, then my parents would always hide one gift we would have to find that one first then we would continue on to the rest of the gifts
My favorite memory (and I still do it to this day) is to wake up my little sister to peek in our stockings. I am now 33, we stay the night at my Moms still on CHristmas Eve & I still wake her up. Yes, I still get a Stocking from Santa!
I love that we take turns opening presents on christmas morning. It makes it last much longer and everyone gets to see how kids react to presents instead of them just ripping through paper.

I usually let the kids open a gift or two on Christmas Eve and then the rest on Christmas morning. In the middle of the day we have a traditional dinner with a special cranberry juice with orange sherbet punch that we have made in my family as long as I can remember.
Reading the scripture of Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus. Even though my youngest is now 13, we always enjoy this tradition.
