Get in that photo, ladies!!! (#NSNation, #spon)

As I was looking through our family photos from the past couple of years I realized that there is one person missing from almost ALL the photos; ME! You would think would be because I am always behind the camera, but truth is, I couldn’t stand to be in any photos. Every photo that Hubby did take with me in, I would delete. Yes, I know; sad!

Now I am extremely upset about the whole situation.I hate that my kids will one day look through the photos and wonder why I wasn’t in any of them.  If I had only stood up to do something about my weight and self-esteem years ago, I would not feel all of this sadness now.

I am standing up to all of you now… you know who you are. Take a look through your photos, go on and do it. Are you missing from the photos? If you are, please take a bit to think about why! Is it because of your weight? If it is, then please, don’t wait any longer… make a plan to do something about it. Really, take little steps at a time to shop healthier or walk more, every little bit will help. And if you don’t want to do it on your own, think about getting help. The people at Nutrisystem are amazing. They are supportive and helpful and make losing weight very simple. And, of course, right now they have that amazing deal where the more you lose, the more you save…

So, do yourself a favor, do something to lose the weight and GET IN THOSE PHOTOS; I did and YOU can too!!!

  1. I try and get photos of the grand kids and I so we have a photo journey of our great times together.

  2. Best of luck on your weight loss journey! Can’t wait to read more about it!

A while back I made a conscious effort to get in more photos. We don’t have many of us as a family (maybe a few a year) but we definitely have enough of just me and the kids, just my husband and the kids, and one on one. I need to take more photos with just my husband and me though.

  4. You really do look great. Nutrisysytem is a great program also. Wow its been so long since I been in a photo I really can’t remember. Gr8 post!

  5. You’re looking great! I agree about getting in some photos! I need to give my husband some camera lessons!

  6. I’m always out of the photos, too! Thanks for bringing this to my attention!! 🙂

I am usually the one taking the photos so I get left out at times but hubby will switch with me to. This is a great post reminding us that we do need to get in the photos as well.

You are gorgeous! And you have beautiful children 🙂 I am the same way with cameras…one of my resolutions is to just put up with it. I hate being so critical of myself.

    • Don’t I know it… I think we are our own worst enemies sometimes, finding every flaw… 🙂

  9. I am on Day 4 of the Peak Fit Challenge and Lovin it!

  10. Thanks for sharing this! This is so true. My only regret from the kids being little is I’m barely in any pictures. I am changing that as we speak!

  11. Being a photographer since long ago and now a mom-photographer, I am always behind the camera 🙁 I hope to see more of myself too, hope this program benefits you! Smile! Click! 😉

I hate being in the photo too – but you’re right. I look back on pics from when my little guy was a baby and there aren’t any with ME. I regret that.

Doesn’t it feel great to not have to shy away from the camera any more! Keep up the good work!

  14. Such a strong message. I do not have children and am always photographing everyone else, but truth be told, I dislike when I see photos of me.. I am losing weight (finally) and I love to see the way I look now even compared to 20 pounds ago. You look great!!

    • Thank you 🙂 It is amazing how much happier I am now, seeing myself in photos… thanks for your comment!

You can do it!!! Also, I LOVE your shirt! I watched the first 4 or 5 years of 90210 when it first aired on TV. I am in the process of finishing the series now….since I found out a few months ago that it comes on SOAPnet! Yay!

    • I know, I am a HUGE 90210 fan… I watched it all through HS, then the re-runs years ago, but I still catch them on the weekends now. No matter how many times I watch, I still LOVE every episode!!! <3 thanks for your comment

  16. You’re looking GREAT! Great pic, too! And your progress inspires me! 🙂
