McDonald’s – A family favorite; good food for less

If you ask any of my kids where they would like to eat at any time their answer is unanimous; McDonald’s. Whether we are celebrating a birthday, out running errands, or even looking for good food for less, after a soccer game the choice is simple, we stop by our neighborhood McDonald’s. Take this past Saturday, for example; we spent the morning on the soccer field and by lunch time we were all famished and knew just where to go.

Placing an order was quick and easy and within no time everyone was all smiles, while digging in. Little Miss has been a fan of McDonald’s hamburgers for as long as I can remember and Saturday was no different as she bit into her hamburger with ketchup only.  I love knowing that she is eating a 100% all beef patty and she loves the taste, bite after bite.

Meanwhile Little Man and Baby Miss chose the white meat Chicken McNuggets. Little Man ordered the Mighty Kids Meal with six Chicken McNuggets, while Baby Miss got the four-piece meal. It is awesome watching my kids jump at the chance to eat their Apple Slices, while drinking 100% apple juice, before doing anything else.

Of course Hubby had to go with his McDonald’s favorite; the Big Mac! He has always been sold on the two 100% pure beef patties, with their ‘special sauce!’ though sometimes he switches things up and gets the Quarter Pounder.

The best part of our meal is that I could stick to my diet by choosing the 390 calorie Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Crispy Chicken.  Talk about yummy. The salad was crispy and freshly made, with tender yet crispy chicken on top. It was so delicious that I ended up sharing a couple bites with the kids.

By the time we are done eating we had a happy family with full bellies, can you say that after your last meal? Ha! All in all, McDonald’s was the perfect place to go. It’s good food for less, in other words; real food that tastes great, and doesn’t break our budget.
