Learn how easy it is to combat dehydration #DrinkDripDrop

If you follow my blog than you know that Hubby is obsessed with sports. He not only watches them, he grew up playing pretty much every single one. Well, as he has aged, he has continued playing soccer. It is something that not only helps him unwind and de-stress, it helps him stay pretty healthy. He normally plays on an adult league every Friday evening and in a pickup game on Sunday mornings. This sounds great, right? Yes, it is, except for the fact that he often gets severely dehydrated. Yes, he drinks water while playing but there are times that he comes home from a pickup game feeling okay, then about an hour later he gets cramps and nauseous. His skin-tone looks blah and his movements are just not right. Ugh, I can’t tell you how much this worries me. I mean, we will be out and about and then I will look at him and just know he is dehydrated. He often claims he is fine, but I knew he needs to do something to combat dehydration. Well, with the new year he has taken on a third day of playing soccer. He really wants to lose some more weight and wants to keep track of his activities. Being the wonderful wife that I am, I agreed, as long as he takes steps to combat dehydration. So, this is why we decided that he would take the kit we received from Smiley360. Staying hydrated and healthyThis kit not only included a Fitbit Flex, but also two boxes of DripDrop Hydration Powder, and other goodies. Now, I will tell you that after seeing Hubby get dehydrated so often I have done some research on dehydration. I learned that an athlete can lose a half-gallon or more fluids through sweat. And when these fluids and electrolytes aren’t replenished quickly enough, dehydration sets in. Which is what happens to Hubby. It is crazy… the body is so sensitive that even losing 1.5% of fluids can lead to a drop in physical performance, cognitive ability, and mood, which is why Hubby often gets super-cranky after his games. The worst is when he plays or works when it is cold outside, because he doesn’t think that he has to combat dehydration as much… This is why I am really excited about the DripDrop Hydration Powder. Dehydration DripDrop offers just what the body needs; the correct amount of salts, sugars, and water which not only works to combat dehydration, it also helps reverse it. It comes in a box with individual powder packets that you pour into 500ML of water. Once poured in, just shake and it is ready to go. DripDropHubby took his first water bottle with DripDrop to the pickup game a few weeks ago and hasn’t stopped raving about it. DripDrop hydrationHe said that during water breaks he would sip the DripDrop water and felt great. He did say that it was the Berry Flavor was a bit sweeter than expected but that he felt great on the field through the whole game. Staying hydratedThe funny thing was when his soccer buddies asked him what he was drinking that kept him so alert and ready. Staying hydrated In the end, Hubby was totally won over. He is now officially a DripDrop fan and keeps a box in his soccer bag for games, plus he said he plans on using it on hot days at work to combat dehydration. He also asked if we could pick up some more boxes for his laborers on job site. HA! Staying hydrated with DripDropOh and if you are wondering, I plan on keeping DripDrop on hand for me and the kids, this Summer. Since children lose water much more quickly, and they require a greater volume of fluids to stay properly hydrated, I plan to use DripDrop for the kids during swim team, soccer, and camp. If you remember, last year Little Man came home from soccer came dehydrated and was almost hospitalized. Now I will be totally ready 🙂
