With Summer in full swing, I have put my skin through a lot. I mean, between all that sunblock, sweat, chlorine, and lake water, my skin could use some pampering. I finally decided that I needed to set some time aside, to do just that, and I put the Simple Sugars Vanilla Grapefruit Sugar Scrub to the test.
Now, I will tell you that I have actually never used a sugar scrub before but have heard great things. The reason I was eager to try the Simple Sugars Sugar Scrub is because of the ingredients, including pure cane sugar, organic soybean oil, grapeseed oil, cherry kernel oil, apricot kernel oil and organic grapefruit zest.
When I received my Simple Sugars Sugar Scrub I could smell the heavenly goodness the moment I opened it and loved that it arrived in an adorable box, with box, and even came with a spoon for mixing.
So, like I said, I finally had some time to pamper myself and I am so happy I did. My legs and feet have been killing me so I drew a warm bath and opened the Simple Sugars Sugar Scrub. I took a deep breath in and inhaled the sweet tropical vanilla and bright summery grapefruit scents mingle with the warm air from the water and just felt more relaxed. I then put a spoonful on my leg and massaged it in.
I noticed that at first it was gently exfoliating, as I massaged it in, but within moments, the sugar was evaporating and a nice oil was left behind. Folks, I am not kidding, my leg was so super-soft; it felt great.
Since then, I now schedule time, often to pamper my skin. The sugar scrub does a great job at leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated and the scent left behind is super-dreamy. Oh and in case you were wondering… I have really sensitive skin and have had no issues using this sugar scrub.
