Kids eat free at Joe’s Crab Shack…

As you know, I strive to have a sit-down family meal on a nightly basis. It is the only time our huge multi-generational family can sit and just talk… discuss schedules, TV shows, what the kids are learning, etc. It is actually one of my most favorite times of day. Now, that being said, sometimes I need a break from the cooking and cleaning up part. Ha! There are days when I just don’t have any idea of what to make and frankly don’t feel like coming up with something. Those are the days I look at Hubby with big eyes and recommend that we go out for dinner. Now, like I said, we are a pretty big family and even if the in-laws have other plans, it can still be pretty expensive feeding a family of five or more if my brother brings his girl friend. This is why last week I recommended that we head to Joe’s Crab Shack since now through the end of the month, kids eat FREE!

Kids eat free at JoesWe are huge fans of Joe’s Crab Shack because it is really unlike any other restaurant around us. Offering an assortment of seafood dishes, it is a place we can go to enjoy a family meal together.

Kids eat free at Joe's Crab Shack

Last week, Joe’s Crab Shack sent me a gift card to stop in and we were more than happy to do so. We arrived at about 5:30 on Saturday night and asked to be seated outside so that the kids could play on the jungle gym while us adults had some nice quiet time on the covered patio. We ordered a sampler appetizer and dug in.

Of course, once the appetizer arrived, the kids came running, which was perfect timing to find out what they wanted to eat. It was nice being able to offer them each a meal since kids eat free, as sometimes to be budget-friendly, I make them share. LOL

Little Man chose the fried shrimp with corn on the cob, Little Miss chose the hamburgers with applesauce, and Baby Miss chose a cheeseburger with fries. Meanwhile, I chose the crab and shrimp plate with Old Bay instead of BBQ seasoning.

The food arrived and we all dug in.

Within no time, everyone was crackin’ crab shells and enjoying some delicious food.

The best part was that everyone got what they wanted and we all were able to sit down, talk, and eat without having to worry about cooking or cleaning.

Oh and of course knowing that kids eat free was a huge plus, as well!

So next time you need a break from the kitchen, why not stop at your neighborhood Joe’s Crab Shack and why not do it during the month of September, while kids eat free with a special kids menu to boot? Oh and I forgot to mention, families can enjoy up to three free kid’s (ages 13 and under) meals per visit, with the purchase of one adult entrée. This is dine in only and not valid with any other offer.

  3. We love Joe’s but ours just closed down #sadface The kids always tried something new and learned to explore seafood there. This sounds like an awesome promotion!

  4. I always love to see restaurants letting kids eat for free. Kids are like bottomless pits, and they always want more.

  5. How great is that?! My whole family loves Joe’s Crab Shack, and with my brood, kids eating free is always welcome.
