*Disclosure -this is a product-sponsored post on behalf of Smiley360 and Pepto-Bismol. This does not change the fact that all of these things to do in San Antonio are all honest and this whole post is filled with my own opinions.

I moved to San Antonio about seven years ago and was kind of a tourist. Having never been here before, I had no idea all the things to do in San Antonio. So, to help others out, I have come up with a weekend plan, filled with some things to do in San Antonio.

Start out with some amazing food on Friday night and go with some BBQ! You can’t come to San Antonio without hitting up a great BBQ joint. From sit-down restaurants to fast-food BBQ, this is the place to be and believe me, any way you go, your stomach will thank you.

On Saturday, you can hit the touristy places such as the Alamo or River Walk or if you are looking for a fun family activity, I would suggest the zoo and Brackenridge Park. The San Antonio Zoo is not free, like some others, but it is totally worth it.

It is a beautiful zoo and if you have young kids, it even has a hands-on area. Brackenridge Park and the Japanese Tea Garden are both within walking distance of the zoo and are great options for an afternoon filled with  train rides, hiking trails, and even a playground.

You can’t leave the zoo without stopping in for some more BBQ – ha!!! I am not kidding. There is a little BBQ spot right near the zoo and park. It is a hole in the wall spot and looks super-small, but the food is amazing. All the BBQ you could want including brisket, chicken and sausage, plus the sides are just as mouth-watering. Everything is hand-made that day and is fresh and delicious.

The Pepto-Bismol Chewable Tablets are quick and easy to grab. I like keeping a bottle my purse to have on hand after a very filling meal.
