When you have a family of eight under one roof with three kids and a dog sometimes life gets crazy. It can be overwhelming and yes, I admit, sometimes I want to hide under my covers. But, the fact is that life is too short to hide and too precious to not live to the fullest, so I have come up with five tips that get me moving every morning and figured I would share them with YOU!5 tips to get moving every morning

  1. Go to sleep as soon as you feel tired – I know this sounds crazy, but did you know that when you wait till you are exhausted to go to sleep that you are actually over-tired and may have issues falling asleep? Well, I heard that this is the case and with me, it happens all the time. I will be sitting on the couch watching something with Hubby and will force myself to stay awake to watch the end of the show. Then when I finally get to bed, I am wide awake. Ha! So, I know it is not always easy, but try it and see how your body reacts to going to sleep as soon as you feel it.
  2. Get up as soon as your alarm goes off – I know, I know… many people, like my Hubby like to hit that snooze button a time or two, but I have heard that it actually can make you more sleepy because when you go back to sleep after your alarm, your body does not enter a real REM sleep before the snooze alarm goes off, so when you finally get up, you may be more tired than ever.
  3. Start early morning workouts – I never knew I would feel so energized after starting a morning workout regime, but I am not kidding you; on the days I work out, I get twice as much done by noon. A workout can wake your mind and body and give you the energy to do other things.
  4. Drink a glass of cold water – Water does the body good and can refresh you, so why not start the day with a nice refreshing glass of cold water.
