A little taste of Tuscany at BRIO Tuscan Grille & a Gift Card Giveaway

We have this joke in the family where everyone knows that if I had to choose one type of food, it would always be Italian. We laugh all the time saying that I was born and raised in the wrong country because my heart and soul belong in Tuscany! Ha! This is why when the people at BRIO Tuscan Grille reached out to us to come check out some of their new items, I jumped at the chance. BRIO Tuscan Grille

The closest BRIO Tuscan Grille to us is the one at La Cantera Mall in San Antonio, but BRIO, as well as, their sister restaurant BRAVO Cucina Italiana can be found all over Texas. One of the coolest things about BRIO Tuscan Grille is that when you walk into the restaurant your breath is taken away by how gorgeous the decor is. It literally SCREAMS Tuscany!

Inside BRIO Tuscan Grille

Upon sitting down, we were greeted by a friendly waitress, who made my heart smile as she placed a bowl of hand-made bread and sundried tomato dipping sauce on the table. Brio Tuscan Grille Fresh Bread

Next, our waitress brought out an appetizer of Burrata & Ciabbata, as well as, a Bruschetta Sampler. Now, my brother, who worked in an Italian Bisto back home knew of Burrata, but this was my first time tasting this decadent cheese. If you haven’t had it before, it kind of resembles a fresh Mozzarella ball, but when you cut it opened you will find a rich-tasting soft filling made of Mozzarella soaked in heavy cream. It resembles a soft cottage cheese but tastes more like Mozzarella. This appetizer also came with a bowl of roasted tomatoes with an olive oil finish, as well as, a fresh baguette of Ciabatta. Mouthwatering, right?

The Bruschetta Sampler offered us a taste of each of BRIO’s amazing Bruschettas, including their Roasted Red Pepper Bruschetta, Sliced Steak Bruschetta, and the Chef’s Seasonal Bruschetta.

We also had the privilege of meeting the head chef who discussed how all of the sauces at BRIO are hand-prepared and made from the heart. His love for food was shining bright, as he spoke of some of his favorite dishes, which, of course, we had to try.

Since my first bite of Burrata, I knew I wanted more, so when the Chef suggested the Prosciutto & Burrata Sandwich, I knew I had to try it. Folks, let me tell you, this sandwich was more than I wished for. Split between my brother and I, this sandwich offered the perfect amount of soft cheese with salty prosciutto, along with grilled peppers, and arugula placed nicely between a baguette of ciabatta bread. The field greens salad that accompanied it was the perfect addition to this amazing sandwich. Prosciutto & Burrata Sandwich BRIO Tuscan Grille

Meanwhile, the kids were more than impressed with their kid’s portions of Kids Lasagna {which, by the way, I would have eaten myself if Baby Miss didn’t finish hers because it was so amazing} and Grilled Chicken. Grilled Chicken BRIO Tuscan Grille

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention the Calamari, which my Little Man had as his meal. This Calamari was lightly breaded with so much taste, we couldn’t stop eating it.

In the end, each of our dishes were made to perfection and we all left with very full bellies. So, take my advice; if you are ever in the mood for a meal brought to you from Tuscany, I would suggest stopping into your neighborhood BRIO Tuscan Grille.
