One of the reasons I love shopping at Kohl’s is because of their Kohl’s Cares program. You have to give props when a store as big as Kohl’s sells an assortment of fun items and then gives 100% of the net profit of those items to benefit children’s health initiatives nationwide! My kids love walking into the Kohl’s to see what the newest Kohl’s Cares collection is for the season and this season is a big one… what is it? Well, it is none other than everyone’s favorite red dog, Clifford The Big Red Dog!
Just the other day, the folks at Kohl’s sent us an assortment for the kids to check out and Baby Miss was the most excited. When she saw the huge white Kohl’s Cares box, she begged me night and day to open it.
When I finally allowed her to open it, she jumped with joy upon seeing T-Bone, Cleo, and Clifford, as well as, an assortment of Clifford The Big Red Dog books. She and Little Miss immediately began reading books to each other and to the soft plush toys.
Now through September, you can choose from a backpack, creativity kit, toys, and hard covered books all about Clifford and his friends… Oh, and did I mention that they are each priced at only $5 each?
To date, Kohl’s has raised nearly $300 million through the Kohl’s Cares merchandise program. To reinforce the company’s commitment to children’s health, Kohl’s has donated financial support to hospitals across the country. The donations fund hospital outreach programs focused on children’s health initiatives and address the specific issues needed most in each hospital’s community. These tailored programs provide vital resources to families at no cost and include topics such as injury prevention, asthma awareness, dental care, and fitness.
So, if your kids are as big of fans of Clifford the Big Red Dog, as my kids are, or if you are just looking for ways to encourage reading… I would suggest heading to Kohl’s to check out the new selection of Kohl’s Cares toys and books.
Do you have a little one who loves Clifford the Big Red Dog?
