As you know, we have three children and as much as I love them all, sometimes I wonder if we miss out on creating memories with each of them individually. I know that there are times that I look at Little Man and realize that between his sisters, school, and soccer, we don’t seem to have the time to enjoy family fun with only him. This is why I believe it is important to take the time to do just that. Just the other day, Hubby and I decided to set aside an evening of family fun for Little Man and asked him what he wanted to do to unwind. He smiled wide and exclaimed, “MAIN EVENT!” Now, since Main Event is the only place that combines Eat. Bowl. Play, we knew that he made the right decision.
Little Man, Hubby and I met with my brother and sister-in-law, as well as my brother for a night of family fun at Main Event. We arrived about 5:30 PM and gave Little Man the choice of bowling, laser tag, or billiards.
We took a walk around and he finally decided on Billiards, which was nice because we had no issues finding an open pool table and we even discovered that we could enjoy FREE Billiards from 4-7 and 10-close every week on Sunday – Thursday. Nice, right?
While Hubby racked the balls, Little Man and I took some time to look over the full-service menu and we were both very happy to find a wide assortment of appetizers, classic and specialty pizzas, salads, burgers, ribs, steaks and more. Together we chose a couple of appetizers for the whole family, as well as, an order of chicken tenders for he and I to share.
Within no time the friendly waitress arrived at our pool table to take our drink and food orders while we took turns playing pool. I watched as Hubby helped Little Man hold his pool cue properly and even witnessed Little Man make a two-in-one shot!
By the way, did I mention that Main Event has a full-service bar that features innovative cocktails, a variety of wines, along with local and craft beers? I am not a huge drinker, but it was ultra-nice to enjoy a refreshing beer while relishing in some family fun! We each played a few rounds and enjoyed the camaraderie of some family-friendly competition. The best part was that when we were done playing billiards we were able to just walk right over to the games gallery to check out their huge assortment of over 100 virtual and interactive games for players of all ages and skill levels. By the time we were done gaming, we were all beat and ready to go home, which was too bad, because between you and I, if we had more time, we would have probably joined in for a game of laser tag or two. In the end, these are the family fun memories that will truly last forever and having a place like Main Event right down the street is a huge bonus. So whether you are looking for bowling, billiards, laser tag, or gaming, Main Event is the place to go. Oh, and I forgot to mention that some locations even offer gravity ropes, rock climbing, mini golf, bocce ball and karaoke!
