School Nurses – Honoring Those Who go Above and Beyond & a #SickJustGotReal Visa Prize Pkg Giveaway

This post about School Nurses has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

School nurses do so much for our kids. They’re always there, waiting to help our kiddos feel better if they can and let us know if they can’t. School nurses are the first step in helping children get better when they come down with the creeping crud at school, and Pfizer wants to honor them for their service and commitment to our children.

School Nurses – A Caring Touch

My kids love their school nurse. She’s always around if they don’t feel well, and she genuinely cares about the kids. These days, in a world filled with stress and worry, anyone who takes the time to help the kids and genuinely loves doing it is a rare commodity. There have been so many times when I’ve gotten a call from her telling me that one of the kids wasn’t feeling well. Those calls have always turned into short but lovely conversations asking about the family and telling me how much she loves the kids. It’s a wonderful dynamic that I always nurses - knowing when to send a child home

This is why I was happy to partner with the folks at Pfizer, since they know that we need school nurses like that. That’s why they want to honor the best of the best school nurses with their America’s Greatest School Nurse contest. This contest is all about recognizing those nurses who go above and beyond in comforting, educating, and just caring about their students. They are currently taking nationwide nominations for nurses who are exemplary in their work with the kids.

At the end of the contest, one nurse from each state as well as Washington D.C. will win a prize valued at $500 and be entered to win the grand prize – the title of America’s Greatest School nurse and a trip for a getaway from school sickness.

How You Can Help Your Kids as Much as School Nurses Do

Even with the best of the best school nurses at our disposal, kids still get sick. It’s just the way it is. When they do, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare is there with three products to help the kiddos feel better – Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin®, and Children’s Dimetapp®. These products help reduce the symptoms of the crud that so often attacks our children during the school year.

Children’s Advil®

Children aged 2 to 11 can help relieve the aches, pains, and fever that comes with a cold or flu. It comes in kid-friendly flavors like Sugar-free Dye-Free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit, and Dye-Free White Grape. They even have Infant’s Advil® with a syringe for easy dosing for children aged 6 to 23 nurses-helping-kids

Children’s Robitussen® Extended-Release 12  Hour Cough Relief

Children’s Dimetapp® Muti-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free

Help ease your child’s stuffy or runny nose and quite their cough in a dye-free formula that comes in kid-friendly grape flavor. For kids 6 and up.
