How much do you love Sheppard’s Pie? Well, I tell you what, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it and have come up with an easy recipe that actually makes it a bit healthier for you!

I am such a fan of Birds Eye veggies for so many reasons… first off, they always fit every meal, between the choices of steamable, microwaveable they are easy to add to any dish, plus now their Birds Eye Veggie Made™ products make life even easier. So, when they reached out asking if I could put together a dish using their Birds Eye Veggie Made™ products, I jumped at the chance.

Birds Eye’s creative “Veggie Made™” products literally make eating vegetables easier and more enjoyable for the family. Found in the frozen aisle at your local grocery, it is easy to stock up for easy prep for every dinner.

I have started incorporating the Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mashed and Riced Cauliflower into a couple of our favorite meals and my family loves it. One meal we have switched from mashed potatoes to Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mashed Roasted Garlic Cauliflower is my better for you Sheppard’s Pie.Using Birds Eye for Sheppard's Pie

Man, this dish is so super-easy to make, it really takes about ten minutes to prep and an additional ten in the oven. Here are the directions.Sheppard's Pie ingreidents

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pound Cooked Ground Beef
  • 1 Box Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mashed Roasted Garlic Cauliflower, cooked in the microwave for 4 minutes
  • 1/3 Cup BBQ Sauce
  • Cheese, if desired

Preheat oven to 400. Mix the BBQ sauce with the cooked ground beef and then layer the bottom of your oven-safe dish with the mixture. Sheppard's Pie  prep

Top with the Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mashed Roasted Garlic Cauliflower. If so desired, top with shredded cheese and cook in the oven for ten minutes until the top is a bit brown. Then serve.
