Winter colds are not longer my nemisis… I mean, yeah, it is the time of year for sneezing, coughing, and “Mommy, I can’t sleep!” to occur, but now I am ready.  It never fails that we try to stay healthy all year, take vitamins, drink orange juice, etc, yet a week after going back to school after Thanksgiving break one, if not all three of my kiddos will come with a winter cold.

This year it all started with Little Miss. She came home the day after her first day back from Thanksgiving break and she just didn’t look right. She wasn’t her vivacious, playful self, then I heard it, the dreaded cough and I knew, sick just got real with a winter cold and I had to head it off before it got to the rest of the family.

Thankfully, this was also after the folks at Pfizer Pediatric had sent us a Sick Just Got Real winter cold and flu package so I was armed and ready. winter colds #SickJustGotReal

After dinner and cuddle time, I gave Little Miss some Children’s Robitussin® Nighttime cough medicine. Using the medicine cup that came with the medicine and the exact dosage on the bottle. Within no time Little MIss’ cough seemed to quiet just enough for her to get a good night’s rest.

The next day, we kept her home from school, to be sure she was feeling better and to our surprise, she woke up with a smile. Her cough persisted a bit, so we tackled it with the Robitussin®Cough & Chest Congestion and before we knew it, she was back to herself. winter colds #SickJustGotReal 2
