Making healthy decisions is key…

Today I would like to talk to you about healthy decisions. I just finished my fifth week of Nutrisystem and though the beginning of any diet is rough, I feel like week five or so is about the time that it gets really rough. This is when I have been on Nutrisystem for a month, I know I am losing and doing great but my body is having weird 'cravings!' Not only is it 'that' time of the month (I know, TMI) but I have gotten to the point where I have … [Read more...]

Lose the weight-loss excuses & learn about Nutrisystem #NSNation

Hello everyone... The other day I was talking to a friend who is a bit overweight. She was going on and on about how she knew she was overweight and that she wished she could lose weight, but that she didn't have the drive to do it. I love this person and wish her the best, but unless SHE faced herself and stopped the weight-loss excuses to make the decision to change, I know she won't. Today, I want to talk to you about that light-bulb moment … [Read more...]

Losing weight with Nutrisystem Week 3 (#NSNation)

I have officially finished week 3 of my Nutrisystem journey and things have been crazy. First of all, I have been tracking my daily food, water, and exercise on the Nutrisystem app, which is really helpful. The only problem is that I have been struggling getting even 1,000 calories a day. I know, crazy right? When I say that to Hubby he laughs and says that is one meal for him. HA! Anyways, I have been struggling, so I reached out to my … [Read more...]

My Nutrisystem weight loss recap week 2

Woo Hoo! I just finished week two of my Nutrisystem weight loss challenge and have only ten more weeks to go to a thinner, more healthy me! Last week was awesome. After competing Nutrisystem Fast Five (read my recap here) I was finally able to add SmartCarbs and PowerFuels to snacks and meals. Nutrisystem says that SmartCarbs are a specific group of carbohydrates that are nutrient-rich and measure “low” on the Glycemic Index. These carbs are … [Read more...]

My truth behind Nutrisystem Fast5

My truth behind Nutrisystem Fast5 TM!  So, week one of Nutrisystem started last Monday and it has already been quite a journey. As you know, I completed Nutrisystem a few years back and things have changed a lot. Last time I just jumped into the new 'diet' but this time, I began with Fast5!  I am sure you have heard of it through commercials and such and have wondered if the people really did lose with Fast5 and what the true truth … [Read more...]

Losing weight with Nutrisystem – Follow my journey…#NSNation

If you have followed Adventures of 8 for a while then you know that about two years ago I worked very hard on losing weight with Nutrisystem. I was just barely fitting into my size 16's and was disgusted by myself. After about six months on the program I had lost 52 pounds and my size 10's fit nicely. Well, after I went off Nutrisystem I followed the healthy living information I had learned and did a pretty good job of keeping the weight off. … [Read more...]

Want to lose weight? Perfect time for a Nutrisystem G!ve-Away (#NSNation, #spon)

I can't believe our time on Nutrisystem has come to an end. I am saddened, yet excited to continue my life as a healthier and happier person. Nutrisystem taught me all the tools we need to continue on the path we have chosen and we cannot be more thankful. Now, I won't say our weight-loss journey was simple, it wasn't! It took time and the mindset to do it. The hardest part for hubby and I was learning portion control. I am not sure if you … [Read more...]

I am D-O-N-E with the excuses and enabling… are you? (#NSNation, #spon)

I was just thinking back to my past and am in awe that though I knew I was getting bigger and bigger I just really kept making excuses and enabling my size. Now, I know you are scratching your head asking what I mean by enabling my growing size; so let me explain. My weight has ALWAYS yo-yo'd, much like many women of today, it was a constant struggle. I would go from a size six, to sixteen then back down to a ten, then back up. This has been my … [Read more...]

Get in that photo, ladies!!! (#NSNation, #spon)

As I was looking through our family photos from the past couple of years I realized that there is one person missing from almost ALL the photos; ME! You would think would be because I am always behind the camera, but truth is, I couldn't stand to be in any photos. Every photo that Hubby did take with me in, I would delete. Yes, I know; sad! Now I am extremely upset about the whole situation.I hate that my kids will one day look through the … [Read more...]
